Reinstalled NetCDF and HDF with setup.exe
Still have the same problem.
Using the legacy libraries is required for ESMF
(http://www.earthsystemmodeling.org/) :
"Note that currently ESMF does not work with the new C++ API introduced
in NetCDF 4.2, therefore, the Legacy C++ Library has to be used."
