Hello,

You could also try another approach: rebuilding from the distributed sources,
and modifying mc-4.6.1-2.sh to enable subshell:

$ diff -u mc-4.6.1-2.sh.orig mc-4.6.1-2.sh
--- mc-4.6.1-2.sh.orig  2010-05-12 21:14:32.879507800 +0200
