There are quite some hits for: find / -exec grep '!<symlink>' {} \;

Right. And 'find' would be the way to do it. But if you're going to change them, you're better off changing them to the Linux/Unix symlink from that end (same procedure though). Then the symlinks should be understood as simlinks on the server and the clients (uses MS's client).
