- Subject: [1.7] windows7 x64 crash: touch.EXE' : return code '0xc0000005'
Hi,
when running a makefile with Visual Studios nmake that executes cygwin
commands, I get random crashes with return code '0xc0000005'. A simple
test.mak that uses echo and touch reproduces the problem.
bash-3.2$ uname -a
CYGWIN_NT-6.1-WOW64 LABS-PCCHRIS 1.7.0(0.212/5/3) 2009-09-11 01:25 i686 Cygwin
bash-3.2$ cat test.mak
clean:
echo "yyyy"
touch test.file
bash-3.2$ while (true); do nmake -f test.mak; done

echo "yyyy"
yyyy
touch test.file
Microsoft (R) Program Maintenance Utility Version 9.00.30729.01

echo "yyyy"
yyyy
touch test.file
NMAKE : fatal error U1077: 'C:\dev\cygwin1.7\bin\touch.EXE' : return
code '0xc0000005'
Stop.
Does anybody know what happens here?
Thanks,
Chris
