Hi,

unfortunetely no personal firewall is running and I also tried it with a stopped virus scanner!

It should also not to be "funky privilege separation issue" as I noticed in my last email.

Does really anybody of you run OpenSSH v.4.5p1 under Windows Server 2003 SP1 and(!) with key authentication???

Yes. 2K3 SP1 as well as 2K3 R2 x64, Cygwin 1.5.23, OpenSSH 4.5p1.

It has also been noted in the past that stopping various 3rd party firewalls
and virus scanners does not remove them from meddling and can still cause
problems. If you have any software like this, you need to try uninstalling
them. Otherwise, you may still be getting caught by them.
