XEMACS and $HOME

Hi,

I have a problem with my $HOME setting.
Starting xemacs I get the following message:

$ xemacs
Syntax error: "Bad format environment-variable substitution",
"//SV018182/luxcasch$"

Chaning HOME to the windows version works:
$ HOME=h: xemacs
Warning: XtRemoveGrab asked to remove a widget not on the list
Warning: XtRemoveGrab asked to remove a widget not on the list

....

running cygcheck I get a similar problem:
$ cygcheck -s -v -r > cygcheck.out
