- Reply-to: <gargp at acm dot org>
I recently downloaded Cygwin from cygwin.com, and everything
seems to be working fine.
Now when I try to compile any software using configure/make
routine, I keep getting the following error:
configure: error: installation or configuration problem:
C++ compiler cannot create executables.
Digging into config.log, I see that its choking at the following
point:
configure:795: checking whether the C++ compiler (c++ ) works
configure:811: c++ -o conftest conftest.C 1>&5
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-cygwin/3.3.1/libgcc.a(w32-shared-ptr.o)(.text+0x189):
undefined reference to `_pthread_atfork'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
configure: failed program was:
#line 806 "configure"
#include "confdefs.h"
int main(){return(0);}
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Would appreciate
any help as I'm stuck at this point for a while.
Pankaj
