GNUTS! Vertical scroll bar in 'setup.exe' has scrolled to the great beyond!

I've been rerunning 'setup.exe' (always
downloading the most recent version
first) about once every two weeks
(minimum) [Hey, you guyz & galz iz
prolific and good! :-)] on my desktop
W2K machine (hostname == Erdos, AMD Athlon
1 GHz, 128 MB RAM, 1280 x 1024 screen)
and never a problem (GNOCK on WOULD --
gnuck, gnuck! [Yes, it can now be told,
Curly, alone among the Three Stooges.
was in favor of FOSS -- Free & Open
Software!] ;-)).

I've been rerunning 'setup.exe' (the
same way) about every two to three
months on my notebook XP machine
(Toshiba Satellite Pro; hostname ==
Feynman, Pentium, 2 GHz, 512 MB RAM,
1600 x 1200 x 32 screen). Recently,
there isno vertical scroll bar in
'setup', so I can't manually review
what will be setup.

(Note: for purposes of 'setup', I share
no files between the two machines.)

I've tried:

 * Re-downloading a fresh copy of
   'setup.exe'.

 * Deleting the 'setup*' files

 * Multiple mirror sites.

 * Multiple downgraded screen
   resolutions (as low as 1024 x 768)

No luck.

Attached is a comprehensive 'cygcheck of
the notebook system (host name ==
'feynman'.)

Anybody know how to fix this?

TIA,

clue-, scroll- &, at least partially,
  setup-lessLee

P.S. I am impressed beyond words at how
     efficient and effective 'setup'
     is, other than this problem!

     Good woik!
