Subject: Getting home directory in Windows 2000 environment
--- HTML contents snipped ---
May I ask those of you who insist in posting in HTML format to reconsider!
a) You're a SERIOUS virus security risk!
b) You're polluting email
c) Attached images add an unnecessary burden on email downloads
Offending software:
AFAIK only MICROSOFT Outlook and Outlook Express has this enabled by
default; SHAME ON YOU M.S!
Read below for help on how to disable this menace.
IMNSHO a) alone is enough reason to turn this off *immediately*.

To turn it off in Outlook:
Menu: Tools -> Options -> Mail Format -> Choose "Plain Text" as "Message
format"
Klick [Settings] ->
"Mail format" = MIME,
Encode text using "none"
Click [International Options]
Enable "Use English for message flags" and
"Use English for message headers on replies and forwards".
(These are a MUST for certain software to be able to SORT on
Subject)
I also reccommend:
Use any "(ISO)"-marked encoding on
"outgoing messages" and "unmarked received messages"

To turn it off in Outlook Express:
Menu: Tools -> Options -> Send ->
Mail sending format => * "plain text"
Klick [Plain text settings] ->
"Mail format" = MIME,
Encode text using "none"
Automatically wrap text at 76 characters when sending,
Indent the original text with "> " when replying or forwarding.
Repeat for "News sending format" right below the above.
