Cyg:1.3.2 Connect2 cannot find 'ld' (w2k with novell)

I get this problem with g77/gcc v3.2 and not with 2.95

The Novell/W2k layering causes a split directory ownership so
that I have had to change privileges on the file directories.
Otherwise I got an error message that ld could not find "crt0.o".

The version specific directories are included in the path, which was
in turn the solution to an ld error (could not find crtbegin.o)

I haven't tried reordering the path statements but haven't seen this
error before when running without Novell.

Note that I have substituted a few things in the cygcheck.out attachment.

Specifically I have Substituted "Novell User" where my login ID appears
and (the unix user is Administrator, which appears to be that from the
windows 2k login) I assume that computer name... values are uninteresting.
