Hi: I am trying to set these deamons (sshd, ftpd
telnetd). The deamon starts fine. But when I ssh or
ftp or telnet I keep getting incorrect password. I
have created the /etc/passwd and /etc/group using
mkpasswd -lc, mkgroup -lc and I see the username I am
using in /etc/passwd. Is there anything else I have to
do for the authentication to work?
For ftpd, I donot have the file /etc/nologin, no lines
in /etc/ftpusers and the shell for all users is bash
which does exist in /etc/shells file.
Thanks
Nand
