Windres problem while building Insight under Cygwin

$ windres --version

I'm trying to build TK - as part of Insight (branch
gdb_5_1-2001-07-29-branch):
$ windres --include . --include ../generic --define
VS_VERSION_INFO=1
tk.rc tkres.o
windres: cursor5e.cur: read of 77824 returned 0
[ The same happens as part of the Makefile ]
$ ls -l cursor5e.cur
-rwxrwxrwx 1 Administ unknown 327 Jan 3
01:23 cursor5e.cur
