Many smaller tools just dumbly expect the /cygdrive prefix.
For example the latest ilisp packages for emacs and xemacs.
cygprefix=`mount --show-cygdrive-prefix | head -n2|tail -n1|cut -f1 -d'
'`
is just too costly.
