Let me clarify. By "native windows application", I mean an application
which uses MSVCRT* instead of Cygwin.
Also, in this case, the application is built using VC++. To rephrase what
I'm trying to do: I would like to call some of the cygwin_XXX API
functions in cygwin1.dll, from an application created with VC++.
After reading the sources, it seems clear to me that this should indeed be
possible. I also tried to call the function cygwin_dll_init(), but with no
success.
