Compiling Cygwin using bash

Hi

I am trying to compile Cygwin using the bash shell, as
instructed in "How do I compile using my NT box", but
when I get to:

bash ../src/configure --prefix=install -v >
configure.log 2>&1

I get the following in configure.log

bash.exe: warning: could not find /tmp, please create!
../src/configure: /bin/sh: No such file or directory
Config.guess failed to determine the host type. You
need to specify one.
Usage: configure [OPTIONS] [HOST]

Now, I know I have to pass the host type to configure,
but how do I determine what that is? I am running Win
Me.

Thanks,
