I recreated it a dozen times:
siebenschlaefer@LORELEY ~
$ crontab
crontab: can't obtain passwd entry.
siebenschlaefer@LORELEY ~
$ mkpasswd -l > /etc/passwd
siebenschlaefer@LORELEY ~
$ crontab
crontab: can't obtain passwd entry.
from passwd:
Siebenschlaefer::500:513:Gerrit Haase,S-1-5-21-2027841136-734554988-996637233-500:/home/siebenschlaefer:/bin/bash
siebenschlaefer@LORELEY ~
$ id
uid=500(siebenschlaefer) gid=544(Administratoren) groups=544(Administratoren),544(Administratoren)
