My apologies - I didn't intend to be offensive. If it's any consolation - I
have no problems using ssh to connect to a Linux sshd.

Ah, difficulty there - I'm not the system's administrator. Does anybody
have some arguments as to _why_ I need these rights on the domain? (apart
from wanting to get sshd working)

Is the domain case sensitive? Can I find out what Cygwin thinks the domain
is? Should my /etc/passwd look like...

morrijr::1324:1141:John
Morrison,U-micromarketing/morrijr,S-1-5-21-1491927668-2094530616-1660491571-
1324:/home/morrijr:/bin/s

Or have I got the domain in the wrong location?

Thanks for responding to a stupid newbie to all this Corinna. I _use_
cygwin's toolset every day and am (slowly) learning more about it and the
unix paradigms it's built on.

J.
