My work laptap is running VirusScan NT and I can most definitely say that it's
getting in the way of all processes started. I get faster throughput by a
magnitude of at least 2 if I disable the protection.
Ok, so now I go look at the properties and add d:\Cygwin-1.1 to the exclusion
list and turn it back on. Voila, I'm no longer affected by VirusScan NT.
