hello everyone,
i'm a newbie using egcs 2.91.57, and i need access to a relational database
from c++; a simple engine will do because the volume of transactions is
small(ish). i searched the faq's for dao and databases but i could not find
anything of interest. i then noticed that there is a folder in my pc with
dao350.dll (see end of mail); after reading Colin Peter's material on how to
use dll's (http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Towers/6162/gcc.html), i was
wondering if it is possible to follow those procedures there to access the
microsoft jet engine, and if that particular dll has everything i need - or
there is some other trickery envolved. (btw, i also read Emanuele Aliberti
yesterday's mail Re: Dlls @n symbols).
if i'm completely wrong and there is other simpler ways to use a relational
database, please let me know.
thanks!
