Does make -j work in b18?

Please tell me, does make -j work for anyone in b18?
Any hints or fixes would be appreciated.

I had problems with -j with a large makefile so I tried a
very simple one and got:

bash$ make -j2 all
1054
make: *** wait: No children. Stop.
make: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
1053
bash$

Note only two of the four targets were made.
It works fine with GNU make on UNIX (Solaris).

All four targets are made normally with b18 'make all',
and 'make -j1 all'. -j3, -j4, and -j fail in a similar way.

Here is the simple makefile:

all: t0 t1 t2 t3

t0:
        @echo $$$$

t1:
        @echo $$$$

t2:
        @echo $$$$

t3:
        @echo $$$$
