Re: RFD: Dropping subauth support

Hi,

does anybody disagree if I'm dropping subauth support? The
subauthentication only works on W2K, therefore it has never been
announced publically and it's completly unused AFAICS. It's a
pity since it was a lot of work to figure that out but OTOH there
seem to be no reason to keep useless code.

Eventually -- two years from now? three? -- win95, win98, winMe, and even WinNT, will be very old and not widely used, but WinXPhome and W2k and whatever follows will account for a huge percentage of our installed base.

At that time, it would not be unreasonable to start using subauth...and I'd hate for someone to re-invent the wheel. It does little harm to keep the code in until then, does it?
