This is just the beginning. Mixing GDI and X11 just doesn't work, and
since X11 is used for all other GUIs on Cygwin, so must Tk.

My suggestion, for those who wanted this, was to build the entire tcl/tk(GDI) "stack" with a unique prefix -- that way it wouldn't BE mixed with the other clients which (will soon be) compiled to use the X11 version. And, to even use it at all, one would have to put it in the PATH "ahead" of /usr/bin. That's surely not standard; and if somebody does this and it breaks something -- then they get to keep both pieces. WJM, after all.

In case it wasn't clear, my suggestion was that if somebody did this, it should be hosted by a a third-party repository (similar to how cygwin-ports is structured), and not part of the actual cygwin distribution.
