Personally I would prefer that `vim' is the executable because it
_is_ vim. `vi' is only the convenience thingy for those of us (like
me) who are used to use vi for years.

They can wait. Keep me informed as soon as you have copied it
to sourceware.
BTW: Thank you for providing vim. I'm using it since Saturday on my
Vaio and it works great in that termcap version.
