Ruby is the interpreted scripting language for quick and easy
object-oriented programming. It has many features to process text files
and to do system management tasks (as in Perl). It is simple,
straight-forward, and extensible.
This is a major update to the latest release in the 2.2 series. With
the new packaging scheme in 2.0, pure Ruby gems do not need to be
rebuilt to work with this update.
